Work and Learn French in Quebec City

The Work and Learn French program is an effective French immersion program that allows students to achieve a high level of fluency in French and to acquire valuable work experience in a francophone setting. The program is divided in two components:

French Courses

French courses give participants a foundation in French that will allow them to function in a French-speaking work environment. The French courses follow international standards. The program also initially includes conversation workshops which are designed to develop oral fluency skills. As the participant’s linguistic skills improve, the course load diminishes and eventually ends, once the participant becomes entirely independent.

Work

The program provides employment placement and supervision, in partnership with a host of local employers. Work placements are with organisations in the service sector, such as hotels, restaurants, retail stores and cafes. Participants move from preparation to enter the workforce, to part-time work and eventually to full-time work as their linguistic skills improve.

For registrations of 12 weeks or more to the French program, the work placement and supervision fee is waived. Students can also obtain additional discounts.
