Host Families

Host families consist of local francophone families, selected to ensure an optimal, culturally rich experience. Students are matched with a family by the accommodations coordinator based on her knowledge of their interests and profile, and the information she receives from student through the application form.

In order to be accepted to the program, families submit an application, along with references and police background checks for all residents 18 yrs and older. The accommodations coordinator visits the family to conduct an interview and to inspect the premises. Following these steps, a decision is made as to the suitability of the hosts. Most host families in the program have been receiving our students for years.
